John Chester Mobley, (Nick named Mountain Man Mobley)
oldest brother of GG Mobley. He was a teamster in The Iowa 7th. Volunteer
Cavalry during the Civil War. After the war he and GG Mobley migrated to
Cheyenne, Wyoming, Denver, Kiowa, Franktown, Bijou Basin, Colorado Springs
where they bought and sold land in some of these towns along with their in
laws. John owned a saloon- billiard parlor in Kiowa. Lawman in
